Join us as we change healthcare for the better.

OceanMD, a WELL Health Company, is the leading provider of EMR-integrated Patient Engagement and eReferral tools in Canada, playing a critical role in millions of patient visits and thousands of referrals every week. Our digital healthcare solutions empower patients and physicians to overcome the barriers preventing the timely delivery of healthcare services. By replacing paper forms with digital tools, we give patients and providers secure ways to connect, share health information, and update patient records. Our tools:

  • Empower patients to share health information with their physician before, during, and after visits, helping to ensure health records are up-to-date and accurate while improving patient care.
  • Meet the growing demand for digital solutions with online booking and secure messaging that improves the patient’s experience, reduces the need for unnecessary phone calls, and makes clinics more efficient.
  • Improve access to care by replacing faxes, displaying wait times, and reducing the time to process and access specialist referrals.

Who we need

Reporting to the Vice-President, Product & Interoperability, we are seeking a Technical Product Manager to interface with complex provincial engagements, with a focus on a major Ontario-based program and related provincial assets. This role sits at the intersection of product, client-facing delivery, and systems integration.

You will help complex and evolving client environments clarify business needs, influence planning and roadmaps, and work closely with UX and engineering to deliver robust, production-ready features and integration capabilities.

You will be the primary OceanMD product leader for program-related workstreams, coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders to plan, test, launch, and stabilize features and  integrations that meet clinical, operational, and data-governance needs.

This is a new, full-time, hybrid role in Toronto requiring work in the office 2-3 days per week. Occasional travel within Canada as needed.

What’s in it for you

Purpose and impact. This work is one of the pillars of Ontario’s Patients Before Paperwork initiative, with the goal of implementing innovative and creative digital solutions to make it easier for providers to deliver and connect people to care. You will contribute to provincial digital health integrations that directly impact how Ontarians access care and how providers operate. You will see the outcomes of your work reflected in real-world usage, as integrations move from concept to production and into daily clinical and operational workflows.

Strategic influence. You will work closely with program stakeholders, internal leadership, and engineering teams, contributing to decisions that shape integration strategy, delivery models, and product direction. Your ability to connect technical details to broader system impacts will influence how solutions are designed, prioritized, and delivered.

Growth through transformation. At OceanMD, we foster a collaborative environment grounded in shared accountability and continuous learning. As we scale our provincial integration capabilities, you will have the opportunity to expand your scope, refine delivery practices, and help shape how technical product management is executed across complex digital health integration initiatives.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead end-to-end delivery for features and  integrations for original initiatives. You will partner with OceanMD’s Government Program Services team, provincial stakeholders, and client teams to map current-state processes, identify gaps, and define future-state workflows. You will translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows.  You will collaborate with Engineering to design solutions options and drive stakeholder understanding and buy-in.. You will manage project plans, risks, issues, and escalations, providing clear, transparent status reports to internal and client audiences. You will maintain delivery momentum across multiple workstreams while ensuring visibility and accountability across stakeholders.
  • Drive delivery and execution. You will drive prioritization, release scope, sequencing, and implementation plans in collaboration with engineering, UX, and leadership. You will produce and manage multi-team delivery plans, coordinating dependencies, timelines, and decisions across internal teams and external stakeholders, while balancing client needs, regulatory requirements, technical constraints, and product strategy.
  • Collaborate and coordinate. You will work closely with engineering to validate technical assumptions and integration designs, ensuring using-facing features, data flows, API contracts, error handling, and monitoring are production-ready. You will coordinate testing and release-readiness activities, including integration testing, UAT, data-submission readiness, and dependency management with provincial systems, while maintaining discipline around quality, readiness, and post-launch performance.
  • Nurture stakeholder relationships. You will participate in workshops, design sessions, and alignment meetings with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will build trusted relationships with provincial partners, acting as a key product lead for integration initiatives and communicating technical constraints, risks  and trade-offs to support informed decision-making.
  • Champion continuous improvement. You will work closely with Education, Training, and Support teams to ensure successful adoption, including documentation,  and operational handover. You will advocate for product improvements informed by partner feedback, testing outcomes, and operational insights, ensuring the product evolves in line with real-world use.

What you bring

  • The direct experience. You have extensive experience in technical product and program management, and delivery roles involving software integrations. You have successfully led cross-functional initiatives that required both product thinking and disciplined delivery execution. Experience in digital health, healthcare interoperability, eReferral workflows, provider/service directories, and provincial health systems is a strong asset. Familiarity with HL7 FHIR and SMART on FHIR or similar standards is a strong advantage. You are also experienced in supporting UAT, coordinating rollouts, and driving operational readiness and change management ideally within public-sector or healthcare environments.
  • The technical fluency. You are comfortable operating in technical integration environments and can confidently engage in discussions involving APIs, system architectures, data flows, authentication/authorization (SSO, OAuth), and integration patterns. You have experience eliciting and documenting both business and technical requirements in ambiguous and evolving environments, bringing structure and clarity where it is needed most.
  • The delivery and stakeholder leadership. You are experienced in managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, including senior client contacts and public-sector or enterprise stakeholders. You build trust, navigate competing priorities, and maintain alignment while driving work forward. You can identify red flags early, interpret stakeholder dynamics, and make informed decisions about when to escalate and how to respond. You can influence without authority, drive alignment across competing stakeholders, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and execution. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence to present to highly visible internal and external stakeholders.
