Program Account Manager
Join us as we change healthcare for the better.
OceanMD, a WELL Health Company, is the leading provider of EMR-integrated Patient Engagement and eReferral tools in Canada, playing a critical role in millions of patient visits and thousands of referrals every week. Our digital healthcare solutions empower patients and physicians to overcome the barriers preventing the timely delivery of healthcare services. By replacing paper forms with digital tools, we give patients and providers secure ways to connect, share health information, and update patient records. Our tools:
- Empower patients to share health information with their physician before, during, and after visits, helping to ensure health records are up to-date and accurate while improving patient care.
- Meet the growing demand for digital solutions with online booking and secure messaging that improves the patient’s experience, reduces the need for unnecessary phone calls, and makes clinics more efficient.
- Improve access to care by replacing faxes, displaying wait times, and reducing the time to process and access specialist referrals.
Who we need
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Government Program Services, and working closely with the Senior Program Account Manager, we are adding a Program Account Manager, Provincial Programs to our team. You will support the successful delivery of provincial digital health programs by coordinating action items and deliverables, maintaining project documentation, gathering information from teams across OceanMD, and helping ensure commitments, risks, and decisions are tracked and communicated. The Senior Program Account Manager will retain primary accountability for program strategy and senior client relationships, while you help translate priorities into coordinated plans and consistent execution.
This is an existing, full-time, hybrid role requiring work in the office 2-3 days per week and travel within Canada as needed.
Who you are
You are an organized and analytical program professional who enjoys turning complex discussions into clear actions and measurable progress. You bring experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives, managing documentation and deliverables, and gathering the information stakeholders need to make decisions. You are comfortable following up across teams, identifying gaps or roadblocks, and escalating issues appropriately. You thrive in an environment where no two days are alike and are motivated by the opportunity to improve healthcare through technology. Experience in healthcare, government, or technology environments would be an asset.
What's in it for you
Impact and influence. You want to make a difference in how Canadians experience the healthcare system and empower patients and physicians with the technology they need to streamline access to information.
A place to grow your career and your skills. You will immerse yourself in learning about what we do, understanding the impact we make on the lives of Canadians - established and new, young and old - as we bring an empowering service to them. We are looking for individuals who want to commit to our work, take our offerings to the next level and beyond, and help us grow as a company. In turn, as we continue to scale, we will take you on the journey with us, with opportunities for professional development, recognition, and growth.
Learning and exposure. You will work closely with an experienced senior program leader and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to large-scale provincial digital health programs. You will have opportunities to strengthen your program management, business analysis, and client-facing skills while contributing to how the Government Program Services team operates as it grows.
How you will make an impact
- Support program delivery. Working closely with the Senior Program Account Manager, you will coordinate activities that support provincial program commitments, implementation plans, and client deliverables.
- Track actions and deliverables. You will maintain project plans, action logs, decision records, risks, issues, dependencies, and status reports. You will follow up with owners to keep work moving and escalate concerns when needed.
- Gather and analyze information. You will work across OceanMD's Product, Integrations, Support, Education, Finance, Legal, and other teams to investigate questions, consolidate responses, and prepare clear recommendations or briefing materials.
- Coordinate stakeholders. You will organize meetings, prepare agendas and materials, capture decisions and next steps, and ensure stakeholders receive timely updates.
- Support reporting and governance. You will help prepare client updates, program dashboards, presentations, meeting packages, and other materials used in internal and external governance forums.
- Identify risks and roadblocks. You will monitor emerging issues, gather the relevant facts, assess potential impacts, and work with the Senior Program Account Manager and internal teams to identify next steps.
- Improve program processes. You will help develop templates, workflows, documentation standards, and reporting practices that make provincial program delivery more consistent and efficient.
What you bring
- Relevant experience. You have proven experience in program coordination, project delivery, business analysis, client delivery, account support, or a related role. Experience in healthcare technology, government programs, or another complex stakeholder environment is an asset.
- Project coordination skills. You have experience maintaining project plans, tracking actions and deliverables, documenting decisions, monitoring dependencies, and producing clear status updates.
- Analytical skills. You can investigate questions, bring together information from multiple sources, identify gaps and risks, and translate complex details into concise summaries and practical recommendations.
- Communication skills. You communicate clearly and professionally in writing, meetings, presentations, and stakeholder updates. You are comfortable following up with colleagues at different levels of the organization.
- Organization and follow-through. You manage competing priorities, maintain accurate documentation, meet deadlines, and ensure commitments do not get lost between teams.
- Collaboration and adaptability. You build productive working relationships, seek input from subject-matter experts, and know when to resolve an issue independently and when to escalate it. You work with a sense of urgency and thrive in an evolving environment.
- Technical skills. You are proficient with Microsoft Office and project management or collaboration tools. You have experience preparing PowerPoint presentations, maintaining Excel-based trackers, and working with reporting data. Experience with the Ocean Platform is an asset.
- Sector knowledge. Exposure to digital health, provincial healthcare programs, government stakeholders, EMRs, HIS platforms, interoperability, or FHIR is an asset rather than a core requirement.
- Purpose and values. You are passionate about improving healthcare and interested in new ideas and technology. You share our commitment to ethical behaviour, accountability, respect, honesty, and integrity.
